FOOT STEP POWER GENERATION.
Foot step Power Generation is a new technology that uses people’s footsteps to generate electricity for other electricity usage. There are many principles through which this technology can be made. Some of these working principles are Pizzo-electricity, electromagnetic induction, thermal electricity, etc. while walking in the road or through steers, people lose some of their energy. This lost energy can be used to generate electricity for other usages like lightning, mobile charging or some low power electronic devices like sensors.at the same time, energy is wasted due to human locomotion and in many ways. To overcome this problem, the energy wastage can be converted to usable form using the piezoelectric sensor. This sensor converts the pressure on it to a voltage. So by using this energy-saving method, that is the footstep power generation system we are generating power.
MICROCONTROLLER BASED FOOT STEP POWER GENERATION
This project is used to generate voltage using a footstep force. The proposed system works as a medium to generate power using force. This project is very useful in public places like bus stands, theaters, railway stations, shopping malls, etc. So, these systems are placed in public places where people walk and they have to travel on this system to get through the entrance or exits.

Mechanical frame;- The mechanical frame is designed to concentrate on energy that is generated by people’s footsteps. This mechanical frame depends on the principle by which electricity is generated.
Electricity Generating Module;- Electricity generating module may be thermo-couple, Pizzo- electric module, electromagnetic generator or thermal electricity generator. These generators convert different forms of energy into electric energy.
Battery Storage;- Power that is generated from footsteps is generating in real-time and this power is no eventual in magnitude. Therefore it is necessary to store power generation for future usage. For this purpose, we used a battery back-up system.
Control Circuits;-The electronic control circuit is used to controlling and regulating power generation and backup it to a battery. Some indicators are displayed for the status of working system.
WORKING PRINCIPLE OF FOOT STEP POWER GENERATION
The mechanical power is converted into electrical energy by means of a dynamo. The rack & pinion, spring arrangement is fixed at the inclined step. The spring is used to return the inclined step in the same position when the load is released. Linear motion bearings are provided at the top plane. They provide free motion in one direction. Here we use a dc motor at the end of the shaft. Flywheel is provided at the other end of the shaft and is used to maintain the torque that has developed inside the system.
They store torque and distort gradually. When a mechanical force is applied to the top plane, the plane undergoes linear displacement. The top plane is coupled with the rack and pinion arrangement. As the top plane moves downward, the pinion rotates. The pinion is coupled with the dc geared motor of 60 rpm. The motor converts small torque into many revolutions. The gear mechanism is used to amplify the motion. Linear movement is converted into rotational and the motor rotates. A voltage of range 12 18V is produced at the output of the motor. The motor is connected to a regulator circuit.
APPLICATION OF FOOT STEP POWER GENERATION
- To run small electrical equipment during load shedding hours.
- Emergency backup power during blackout hours.
- Installment of this system along the sidewalks or pavement can harness a lot of power, this power can be used to light the street lights.
- Charging of devices.
- To power Led lights for specific purposes.
- Power air circulation system for rooms using small fans.
- This system can also be used in bus stands, car parking systems, airports, lifts, etc.

In the future, we can improve power output by arranging more different electricity-generating technology. Improvement in the structural frame will also increase output power. By using automation, we may improve its efficiency.
