Surveillance Robot (with micro-controller):

Surveillance Robot (with a microcontroller) is designed with a flipper arm mechanism, camera, Wi-Fi module and some sensors like ultrasonic, thermal and sound. surveillance robots typically consist of a video camera, a GPS module, and GSM radios. Android smartphones come with excellent hardware satisfying the above needs. Moreover, the cost of the building said robot using a smartphone is mitigated to a great extent. The camera is attached to a stepper motor which makes it feasible to capture the scene or object of interest. The captured video can be enhanced and made intelligible using further image processing on the remote PC thereby eliminating the need for extra DSP hardware on the robot.

This project is operated by Myengineeringprojects which have done work on designing a surveillance robot using neural networks. Here, the author has done experimental work on a robot with shaft encoder, which is used for odometry measurement and also used an ultrasonic sensor for detecting the obstacle through the algorithms in the neural networks.
