Introduction of Automated Typing System/Notice Board:
Automated Typing System/Notice Board is now routinely used when code numbers must be sent through channels that were originally intended for audio data. Among other things, the Automated Typing System/Notice Board can be recorded and played back later. In the touch-tone system, each button on the telephone keypad is represented by a combination of two sine-wave tones, one “low tone” and a “high tone”. The low tones indicate what horizontal row the pressed button is in, while the high tones correspond to the vertical column of the button. Using this we are supposed to display the text on the LCD on the other side, the receiving side. So whatever we type on mobile will be displayed on LCD.
Here we are implementing the same technology to design a typing system where we can type data on remote location LCD by pressing the mobile buttons on the other mobile in infinite range the only network should be available. for more information Click here.
The objective of the Automated Typing System/Notice Board:
The motivation is to facilitate the users to display notice without using paper, whiteboard, etc. The system provides availability due to the development of a low-cost system. The system is using SMS through mobile for displaying notice very easily. Through the SMS device, GSM modem and the microcontroller, we are aiming for the successful completion of this project.
Working of Automated Typing System/Notice Board:
This is an SMS based system, one can display on three LCD displays with the help of GSM modem. In this project firstly place the SIM card in GSM Modem, an SMS is made to the mobile which is communicating with the microcontroller serially, the microcontroller will receive the SMS automatically then the microcontroller displays our SMS on three LCDs. The user types that SMS and send it, then GSM receives that SMS and sends it to the microcontroller. After that, the microcontroller can display it on the LCD of the notice board. The outputs of an embedded system are the Display system and the SMS typing system.
Conclusion:
The development of the e-notice board shows how the use of GSM technology can be applied to enhance the functionality and flexibility of a modern notice board. Although the design can only display 60characters due to the size of the LCD used, it can be extended to a bigger display using the same technology. The design proves to be cost-effective by taking advantage of the inexpensive components used. The area noted for further research is the enhancement of the design using a bigger electronics display board.
